Welcome Back Assembly
On the first day of school we look forward to everyone’s return and our Welcome Back Morning Assembly which will run from 8:50 a.m. to approximately 9:50 a.m. Students will then meet their teachers for 2018-2019. Class placements and teachers are announced on the first day of school.
We would like to extend a warm Clinton Cougar welcome to Mrs. Lindsay Murray who will teach in our junior/intermediate division and Mrs. Kim Hayter who will be joining the team in the Pit Stop Classroom. We also welcome back Mrs. Reid into our Strive Program.
We are sad to see some folks leave but happy for them as they move to different opportunities. We say good bye to Mrs. Wiggins, Mrs. Pinder and Ms. Prior as their long term assignments are coming to an end and Mr. Thomas, Mrs. Newton and Mrs. Stoll, who have been transferred to GDCI, Anne Hathaway PS and Goderich PS respectively. We thank each of these fantastic educators for their care and commitment to our students.

Avon Maitland DSB schools are committed to supporting students with prevalent medical conditions such as asthma, anaphylaxis, diabetes and epilepsy to fully access school in a safe, accepting, and healthy learning environment. We want you to be active participants in supporting your child’s medical condition at school. Prior to the beginning of the new school year, please inform us about your child’s medical condition and help us create, review and/or update their Individual Medical Management Plan of Care.
Calling All School Books!
As teachers complete year end activities and work to inventory the textbooks and classroom novels and resources, we are noticing that a significant number of books are unaccounted for. We are asking for your help to check thoroughly at home for texts and other books that are the property of the school. Please have your child assist you by looking on shelves, under the bed or couch, and other places where books love to hide. Thank you for your efforts… we accept all CPS books and resources, with gratitude and no questions asked!
