“Dwell on the beauty of life. Watch the stars, and see yourself running with them.”
– Marcus Aurelius
As noted in the Grade 3/4 artwork in our hallway – Spring is Coming! We have opened up our climbers, the fields are drying up nicely and the children are now spread all over the yard running and playing in lighter clothes and rubber boots and shoes.
We want to welcome Mrs. Gerber back to Seaforth PS as our new Vice Principal. Mrs. Gerber comes to us from her most recent role as a Grade 8 teacher at Hullett Central PS.
Congratulations to Mrs. Jackson and her family on the arrival of Delta Huron Jackson on March 11, 2019. Baby and family are all doing well.
This month we will focus on the character trait of Honesty. As always, we will continue our focus on kindness, empathy and caring for one another in our daily routines and actions.

School Council Meeting
Our next School Advisory Council meeting will be held on Monday, April 29th, at 6:00 p.m. The agenda will focus on upcoming academic work for the remainder of the year and special school events. We will be creating our vision for the 2019-2020 school year and generating areas where we need parents to help out to allow our events to run smoothly. This council wants to be active and create opportunities for families to be engaged in the school during and beyond the school day. Come out and be part of the excitement at Seaforth PS. All parents are welcome and encouraged to attend. We will provide pizza for parents and students attending. Child care – story books and a quiet movie will be provided. We will send home a notice early in April with a sign-up ticket to allow us to order enough pizza.
Council minutes are posted to our website when they are approved each month. You can make a difference in your child’s school community so please plan to attend.
Seaforth Library News
“Barnaby Never Forgets” is a great story about a kid who never forgets anything,
well sometimes he remembers the really important stuff. He remembers when
it’s ice cream night, but sometimes he can’t find his glasses. He remembers when the mail comes, but can’t remember to shut the fridge door. This is a laugh out
loud story for younger children about remembering, and sometimes about not
remembering anything! This Jr. Picture book is written by Pierre Collet-Derby and
has been nominated for a Blue Spruce Award.

School Cash Online
Way to go! Our school is currently at 95.41% adopted, with the next closest school at 93.49%. Let’s reach 100%.
Did you know:
- you can dump money into your eWallet (works like a Timmy’s card) and reload it as needed.
- the SCO account stays with your child(ren) through to graduation from secondary school.
- SCO works for all your children, whether they are in elementary or secondary school.
- your banking account information is never retained on SCO, meaning you need that information every time you make a transaction – known as an eCheque. Hence, eWallet is easier!
- you will use SCO to pay for – class trips, school fundraising, food, milk, and more!
If you haven’t already signed up, you’ll need to login to the SchoolCashOnline website.
You first register yourself, then when you confirm registration, you will require your child’s OEN – which is the 9 digit number on their report card (no spaces or hyphens). Associate all your children and see all trips, food/milk, or fundraising available to them (for a limited time). You will receive email reminders closer to the deadlines of each.
