January 2019 Newsletter

Principal’s Message:

Welcome back! I hope everyone had an enjoyable holiday. Hopefully the time you spent with friends and family provided the sunshine we otherwise were missing this holiday!

I am happy to be able to report that the Nature Centre has been rejuvenated, thanks to the work of John Drummond from Greenbelt Farms. Hopefully the new plantings will thrive, and in a few years, we will have a full canopy again, and a new butterfly garden.

Thanks to School Council for the new sign out front! It looks great!

Inclement Weather

Should the buses are not running, or, on the rare occasion, the school is closed. Decisions are made, when possible, prior to 7:00 am. This information will be posted on the ourschoolbuses.ca website, twitter, email and school messenger. Call the school to get set up on school messenger if you are not already on this texting app.

Reading Volunteers Needed!

We are in need of two volunteers to read on a regular basis with some of our young readers. If you can spare an hour and a half once a week, we would love to hear from you.
